Today was a big milestone for our little ones—vet check day! At six weeks old, Chloe’s puppies are growing fast, becoming more curious, playful, and full of personality. This vet visit is an essential part of their early care, ensuring they are healthy, developing properly, and ready for the next stage of their journey.
Health Check 101
During their exam, the vet carefully checked each puppy from nose to tail. This included listening to their hearts, checking their eyes, ears, and teeth, and making sure their little bellies were healthy and round. Weight checks were also important to confirm they’re growing as they should be.
First Vaccinations and Deworming
At six weeks, puppies receive their first round of vaccinations to help protect them from common illnesses. They also get dewormed again as part of their routine care. These steps are crucial in setting them up for a strong immune system as they continue to grow.
Handling the Vet Visit Like Pros
Despite being in a new environment, the puppies handled their check-ups like champs! They were curious, sniffing around and wagging their tiny tails. It’s always heartwarming to see their unique personalities shine through, even in situations that are new to them.
Preparing for the Future
With a clean bill of health, our puppies are on track for the next big steps—more socialization, exploring new experiences, and eventually meeting their future families. Regular vet visits are just one part of responsible breeding and puppy care, ensuring these little ones have the best start in life.
It’s always a mix of emotions watching them grow, but knowing they are happy and healthy makes every moment worthwhile. Here’s to another exciting week ahead with our precious pups!
Here at Zoey’s Doxies we take great pride in our puppies and want to only hear great things about our puppies once they leave with their forever families.
